Head of Logistics is required in a Well-known Manufacturing Company located in Cairo, downtown.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage end-to-end logistics operations, including transportation, shipping, and distribution.
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery.
- Manage relationships with shipping companies, freight forwarders, and customs clearance agents.
- Ensure smooth customs clearance processes and resolve any potential delays proactively.
- Coordinate closely with internal departments (procurement, production, sales) to align logistics activities with business needs.
- Monitor logistics performance metrics and continuously optimize processes.
- Negotiate contracts and rates with logistics service providers.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and local laws.
- Handle urgent and critical shipments with high responsiveness and availability.
- Lead and develop the logistics team to achieve operational excellence.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in logistics, with a strong focus on international markets (Europe & the Middle East).
- Proven experience in managing logistics operations within a manufacturing or industrial environment (experience in copper or similar industries is a plus).
- Strong network and established relationships with shipping companies and logistics providers.
- In-depth knowledge of customs clearance procedures and international shipping regulations.
- Hands-on, problem-solving mindset with the ability to overcome operational challenges efficiently.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
