Supply Chain Manager is required for a well-known FMCG company located Cairo
Responsibilities:
- Lead the sourcing and procurement of raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and supplies required for production.
- Negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, and ensure the procurement process adheres to company policies and cost control objectives.
- Monitor and manage supplier performance to ensure timely delivery, product quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and implement production plans in close collaboration with production teams to meet forecast demand.
- Regularly review inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations, adjusting production plans as needed.
- Implement and monitor processes for tracking goods using warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode/RFID technologies.
- Apply best practices for inventory management, such as FIFO (First In, First Out) and LIFO (Last In, First Out), to minimize spoilage and loss of perishable goods.
- Develop and manage budgets for procurement, inventory, and warehouse operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in supply chain management within the food industry, with specific experience in procurement and warehouse management.
- Certifications in Supply Chain (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma) are a plus.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations (e.g., HACCP, USDA, FDA) is essential.
