A multinational company located in Sheraton is hiring a Director of Product Development and Marketing


Job Description:
  • Direct and manage the Smart Solutions’ Product Development team and ensure the profitability of Smart Solutions’ products.
  • Develop a five year multi-generational plan outlining products and solutions to be developed.
  • Keep abreast of the latest industry technology solutions, technology best practices and evolution of technologies/standards of Smart Solutions product lines.
  • Direct and guide efforts for developing new cutting edge products that would help position the company as the leader in next generation technology.
  • Responsible for the product development process, and to ensure that new products meet client and technical requirements before they are launched.
  • Support Sales by ensuring that Product Managers assist in the RFI / RFP process and develop & deliver Proof of Concept (POC) demonstrations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationship with product manufacturers.
  • Responsible for the identification and documentation of all Smart Solutions’ intellectual property that warrants IP protection.
  • Review the guidelines set out by the Product Manager with regards to license fees and hardware pricing.
  • Responsible for the business unit’s marketing strategy and relation with various stakeholders.
  • Oversee marketing activities, commission market surveys and benchmark the company’s main competitors to develop a full understanding of their value proposition.
  • Responsible for the effective participation in trade fairs and conferences.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or Science; Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration.
  • Cumulative experience of 12+ years, with at least 5 within similar role.
  • Demonstrated strategic leadership and management capabilities.
  • Extensive combination of technical and business experience across the ICT and Security industry.
  • Proven expertise in product development and management; research, design and development for software and hardware systems; market research and analysis; and strategic marketing.
  • Proficiency in suppliers and manufacturers management.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills in both English and Arabic.
  • Strong project and program management capabilities.
  • Very good understanding of finance and accounting principles, especially budgeting.
  • Willingness and ability to travel occasionally (10%-25%)
  • Having subject matter expertise in at least four of the following domains, with a good level of familiarity within the others:
    • Enterprise Business Applications (ECM, BPM, Case Management, e-Correspondence, CMS, etc.)
    • Electronic / Smart Government (e-Services, ESB/GSB, etc.)
    • Electronic Payment (EBPP, Prepaid Systems, Fare Collection, WPS, Clearing House, etc.)
    • ELV and Physical/Electronic Security Systems (Access Control, CCTV, ANPR, Infrastructure, etc.)
    • Homeland Security / Law Enforcement Systems
    • Transportation Management (ITS and Traffic Management, Tolling, Public Transportation, etc.)
    • Insurance and Medical Claims Management
