Job Description:
Source products; prepare and analyze quote sheets
Reviews requisitions and consults with user departments/programs regarding requirements for the procurement of supplies including specifications, quantity, quality, costs and delivery dates.
Contacts suppliers for information such as price, delivery dates and quality; selects suppliers, negotiates prices and delivery dates and places orders for a variety of components and supplies.
Revise and track changes to existing purchase orders.
Provides purchasing planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
Accomplishes purchasing and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
