A multinational company located in Sheraton is hiring an Electrical Engineer position
Job Description:
- Handling the design of electrical distribution network components for different types of buildings, previous experience in different types of projects; offices, residential, infrastructure, commercial buildings, water, and wastewater pumping stations, and treatment plants.
- Have the ability to the well understanding and interpretation of international codes and standards (BS, IEC, IET, NEC, NFPA, CIBSE, IESNA, ISO, etc.)
- Familiar with the local country codes of the middle east and gulf countries.
- Preparation of Single line diagrams and distribution network strategy.
- Preparation of Electrical load Lists & Switchgear/Distribution Board Schedules.
- Design of medium voltage networks.
- Sizing of main electrical equipment, Cable sizing, breaker sizing, CT sizing, power factor correction, lighting, earthing & lightning system.
- Preparation of electrical systems layout drawings - Electrical equipment, interior, and exterior lighting, street lighting, small power, cable routing, earthing, lightning protection, motor control centers schedules, etc.
- Coordination of electrical works with other disciplines.
- Communicate efficiently with different stakeholders of the project.
- Preparation of technical specifications of different electrical systems and electrical equipment.
- Preparation of BOQ and take-off sheets for electrical systems and electrical equipment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electric engineering
- 7 to 10 yearsexperiencehandling intermediate and mega projects in the middle east region within a consultancy firm.
- Excellent command of the English language. (Writing and speaking)
- Experience working with Revit, BIM 360, Navisworks, and other BIM tools is a must.
- Proficiency in the following software list:
- a. Dialux and Dialux Evo.
- b. ETAP.
- c. ProDesign.
- d. Generator sizing software.
- e. Lightning protection calculation software. (IEC, strike risks. Etc.)
- f. MS – office
