A multinational company located in Djibouti is hiring a Finance Manager


Job Description:
  • Handle full spectrum of accounting role eg. AR, AP, GL, ….. etc.
  • Responsible for day to day accounts operations.
  • Perform full set of accounts and ensure timely closing of accounts.
  • Responsible for timely monthly consolidated financial statements for submission to HQ.
  • Review & approve payment vouchers & journal entries.
  • Develop and maintain internal control and effective accounting system and policies for the set up.
  • Work consultatively with the respective departments on cost reduction initiatives.
  • Present annual accounts to investors.
  • To perform a Customers & Sister companies quarterly balance confirmation.
  • To perform a quarterly Balance sheet accounts justifications.
  • Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
  • Preparing the Budget / Annual plan.
  • Assures compliance with federal, state, local and corporate policies, regulations and laws.
  • Evaluates current accounting practices and policies and drives continuous improvement.
  • Take ultimate responsibility for the company cash management policies.
  • Prepares work papers and supporting schedules for the annual financial review.
  • Works with both internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel; assign work and train staff as needed
  • Actively manage any new implementations / upgrades relating to SAP and drive the development of the existing system including responsibility for greater automation and process improvement through system enhancements, reports and interfaces
Qualifications:
  • A strong financial accounting background.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices
  • Capable of demonstrating up to date technical financial reporting knowledge including in-depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Experience of owning and producing statutory financial statements
  • A hands-on approach and the ability and desire to „muck in‟ if needed
  • Strong finance system skills (e.g. SAP) including advanced Excel skills
  • Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting
  • Experience of managing teams with a range of capabilities
