Quantity Surveyor is required for a multinational consultation company located in Cairo.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and implement the project cost control plan and procedures in line with contractual and senior management requirements.
- Lead the development and continuous monitoring of project cost baseline, cash flow forecasts, and budget distribution by work package.
- Support contract negotiations and provide commercial input to procurement strategy decisions.
- Coordinate with project accountants, external auditors, and client representatives for financial reporting and compliance.
- Review value engineering proposals and their financial impacts in coordination with technical teams.
- Maintain a project-wide cost tracking register and issue periodic reports including actual vs forecast, variance analysis, and committed cost summaries.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in QS works.
- Experience in PM/CM and/or construction site experience.
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC and other standard forms of construction contracts.
- Advanced understanding of budgeting, earned value management, cost forecasting, and variation control.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Project, and procurement management systems (e.g., Aconex, SAP, Oracle).
