“Senior Data Testing Engineer” is required for a multinational software development company located in Cairo
Responsibilities:
- Participate in all stages of the QA project lifecycle, including developing test plans, test strategies, test scenarios, and test cases.
- Perform Database/Data Warehouse/ETL Testing, including validation of data across ODS, DataMart, and other database environments.
- Design and execute SQL scripts to test complex data models, transformations, and data pipelines.
- Review and analyze business and technical requirements to ensure data accuracy.
- Validate the performance of data transformations, ETL processes, and Data Quality rules.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and data architects to ensure data consistency and accuracy.
- Perform defect management, including identifying, documenting, and resolving defects using tools like JIRA, TFS, or ALM.
- Engage in test automation for backend data systems using Stored Procedures, Java, Python, or associated frameworks.
- Ensure test activities are aligned with Agile development cycles, including participation in sprints, stand-ups, and other Agile processes.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in Database/Data Warehouse/ETL Testing.
- Strong experience in SQL scripting for complex data validation.
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools and understanding of Change Data Capture (CDC), Data Models, and Data Warehousing concepts.
- Familiarity with Star Schema, slowly changing dimensions (SCD), and multi-dimensional data models.
- Experience in working with test automation tools and scripting for backend systems.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
- Knowledge of Test Management tools such as JIRA, TFS, or ALM.
- Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
