An International Fruit Processing Unit Factory located in Sadat City is hiring a Mechanical Engineer position


Job Description:

• Participate in the design and installation of mechanical systems and equipment, considering food safety, hygiene, and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of food processing machinery to ensure smooth and reliable operation.
• Implement and maintain food safety standards in mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., FDA, HACCP).
• Design systems that are easy to clean and sanitize, minimizing the risk of contamination.
• Work closely with quality assurance teams to ensure that mechanical systems meet product quality and safety requirements.
• Participate in quality control inspections and support root cause analysis for any quality-related issues.
• Recommend and implement equipment upgrades and modernization projects to enhance performance and extend equipment life.
• Stay up to date with industry regulations and standards related to mechanical systems and food processing equipment.
• Ensure all mechanical designs and modifications comply with relevant codes and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

• BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering
• At least 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering
• Solid understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science, etc.
• Familiarity with 2D or 3D engineering design and manufacturing tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ProE, or other)
• Adequate knowledge of engineering analysis tools (ANSYS, ProMechanica, or similar)
• Mathematical computing and analysis tools knowledge (Matlab, Excel, LabView, etc)
• Working experience with product lifecycle management (PLM), finite element analysis (FEA), and computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
• Hands-on experience with computer-aided engineering (CAM) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAE)
