An international Hotel is hiring a Director of Revenue position

Job Description :
  • Creating, implementing and communicating short ,medium and long term hotel strategies for all revenue streams in order to maximise hotel Revenue
  • Profit and Marketshare performance.
  • Effectively using impact and influence skills to lead the hotel team through strategic business decision-making processes.
  • Leading the Reservations team to optimise performance, revenue delivery and best practice
  • Develop your team and improve their performance through coaching and feedback, and create performance and development goals for colleagues - recognize good performance
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
  • Conduct annual revenue management audits with the Regional Revenue Manager for all revenue generating departments.
  • Ad-hoc duties – unexpected moments when we have to pull together to get a task done
  • Leading Budgeting and Business Planning processes for the hotel
  • Create, monitor and support individual development and succession plans for direct reports
  • Understand the composition of hotel profitability, and use this to evaluate business from local accounts and groups so as to provide input to future rate setting and negotiation
  • Find, train, grow and retain potential future Revenue Management talent
Qualifications :
  • Some college or advanced vocational training
  • Four years’ experience in general building maintenance and/or construction or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Hotel experience preferred
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven track record of implementing revenue and reservations best practices, and of introducing change.
  • ​Proven track record of leading, developing and motivating teams.
  • The ability to effectively exercise impact and influence with superiors, peers and team members to implement required changes and strategies.
  • Good working knowledge of different PMS, CRS and revenue systems and reports.
  • Good understanding of the principles of yield and inventory management, and how to implement them.
