A multinational company located in Yemen is hiring a Regional Head of IT


Job Description:
  • Lead IT strategic and operational planning to achieve Universal’s goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future IT systems across the organization.
  • Establish IT departmental goals, objectives, and operating procedures.
  • Establish and implement greater work flow, and reporting mechanisms through new IT systems.
  • Assess and communicate risks associated with IT investments.
  • Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
  • Direct development and execution of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
  • Assess and make recommendations on the improvement or re-engineering of the IT organization.
  • Consult stakeholders on new technology implementations and systems requirements.
  • Approve, prioritize, and control projects and the project portfolio as they relate to the selection, acquisition, development, and installation of major information systems.
Qualifications:
  • 12+ years of experience within Infrastructure technologies, Systems Administration
  • Bachelor’s/Master degree in information technology, computer science, software engineering.
  • Proven experience managing IT infrastructure and services.
  • Strong experience in AWS, Azure, o365 cloud platform.
  • Awareness on CISCO, Fortinet, and Juniper network devices.
  • Knowledge on routing & switching: LAN / WAN infrastructure, high availability, disaster recovery, WAN optimization
  • Solid experience on AD, DNS, DHCP, Virtualization, blade servers, SAN storage, SQL DB, Office 365.
  • Time management, ability to multitask in a dynamic environment, with propensity to handle urgent interrupts with poise and professionalism
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and escalate issues
  • Demonstrated practical judgment and strong decision-making skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented fast pace-driven environment
  • Excellent training and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage and partner with vendors to effectively deliver high level of service.
